An ex-party stay application petition under Order 39 rule 1& 2 of CPC is a legal request made by one party in a case to the court, asking for an order that prohibits the other party from taking any action in relation to the subject matter of the case without the court's permission. This is often used in situations where one party believes that the other party will take actions that would cause irreparable harm or prejudice the case. This type of stay application is made without notice to the other party and it is called as ex-parte stay.
