Talaq-e-Ahsen is one of the forms of divorce among Muslims in India. It is a type of divorce where the husband pronounces the word "talaq" (divorce) three times to his wife in a single session. The husband cannot take the wife back after this form of divorce, and it is considered the most severe form of divorce in Muslim personal law.
In India, Talaq-e-Ahsen is governed by the Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act, 1937, which applies to all Muslims in India. Under this act, Talaq-e-Ahsen is considered irrevocable, which means that the husband cannot take back his wife after pronouncing the word "talaq" three times.
